We praise and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ as He comes to serve and bless us through His Word and Sacrament. We follow a long-standing liturgical tradition that is based on God’s Word. We also celebrate the Holy Eucharist and receive the body and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins as He teaches in 1 Corinthians 11, Matthew 26:28, et al.
Saint Paul’s was originally established in Laguna Beach in 1947 and then restarted in Irvine at Crean Lutheran High School on April 10, 2011. We are excited to see the Lord causing us to grow as we celebrate our new lives in the Lord Jesus.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Here at Saint Paul's as we trust in Jesus, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords who has promised to be with us always even to the end of days, we also honor the governmental authorities He has established and we are wise to heed the counsel of the medical professionals God has sent to bless us. To by-pass these considerations would be to tempt God, something we have no interest in doing. But there is a greater reason for our conducting our Divine Services with distancing and masks (or appropriate face shields): we are serious about the 5th commandment! We are conducting ourselves in such a way so as to avoid hurting or harming our neighbor. In love, we serve each other to show the love of Christ. The loving sacrifice to employ these extra measures is something we do gladly! In this way we honor the Lord and in this way faith is seen through love toward our neighbor. At St. Paul's, not only will you be blessed through the Word and Sacrament of Christ, but through the love of Christians who strive to help and protect one another.
In Your Service and To Christ's Glory,
Pastor Alfonso Espinosa, Ph.D., senior pastor
